I am a historian of American Religion. I received my PhD in History from Temple University in 2018.
My research and teaching interests include North American Religions, 20th century United States history, secularism, and Africana religions.
I currently teach at The College of New Jersey and am a Research Associate at Haverford College.
My first book, which is forthcoming, is titled MOVE: An American Religion. I am currently working on a book called A Madness Divine: Religion, Insanity, and the Making of the Modern, which traces the history of the idea that some forms of religious experience constitute a contagious form of insanity.
